Urgent Animals of Hearne

Texas A&M LEIAS focuses on being a voice for our voiceless furry friends. Our main partnership is with Urgent Animals of Hearne, a volunteer network saving pets from animal control in Hearne, but we work with any shelters that need assistance. Our primary purpose is to motivate our fellow Aggies and surround the community to #adoptdontshop! The amazing Deborah Green, pictured here, founded Urgent Animals of Hearne and makes everything we work for possible!

Every year we host a Philanthropy Event, where all profits are donated to Urgent Animals of Hearne. In the past we’ve done Bark-B-Que’s, Food Fests, and 5K-9 Runs. This year we had our very first Howloween, an adoption event on campus featuring 20 adoptable dogs from our amazing philanthropy, Urgent Animals of Hearne!
